1) Use a cleaning swab dipped in cleaning solution to wipe ink from the tops of the caps.
2) Clean all exposed plastic areas around the caps.

1) Use the Up and Down arrow keys to move the media back.

3) Power off the printer.

1) Use 90 percent or higher isopropyl alcohol only.
2) Apply isopropyl alcohol to a lint free cloth.
3) Gently clean the surface of the encoder strip.
4) Move the print head as needed to access the full length of the encoder strip.

- Do not use any alcohol below 90 percent
- Do not use alternative cleaning solutions on the encoder strip

1) Use a new lint free cloth with isopropyl alcohol.
2) Wipe the surface of the air suction vents.
3) Move the media guides to fully access the vent surface.

INSTRUCTION STEPS
1) Release the pinch rollers using the roller release lever.
2) Allow the rollers to move freely.
3) Use a dry lint free cloth to clean the pinch rollers.
4) Do not apply alcohol or cleaning solution to the rollers.
CHECKLIST
- Alcohol must not be used on pinch rollers
- Using alcohol can cause roller rubber to harden and crack

INSTRUCTION STEPS
1) Power the printer back on.
2) Allow the print head to return to the home position.
3) Route the film under the guide bar.
4) Lift the media roller handle to raise the rollers.
5) Move media guides outward to avoid obstruction.
6) Pull the media roll taut from the back.
7) Align the media straight from the roll into the printer.
8) Lower the handle to secure the media rollers.
9) Move the two media guides inward just enough to cover the top of the film.
CHECKLIST
- Media guides should not press tightly against the film
- Media guides should only prevent film lifting and head strikes

1) Leave the printer powered on.
2) Turn off the heater.
