Initial Setup

1. Initial Overview

2) Confirm receipt of the Neosta software included with the supply bundle or purchased separately.
3) Identify the bright yellow Neosta software packaging labeled “Important”.
4) Do not discard the packaging, as it contains the physical dongle required to operate the software.
5) Understand that loss of the dongle will prevent printing and requires replacement at the user’s expense.
6) Locate the serial number printed on the physical dongle.
7) Follow the Quick Start Guide instructions to register the software via Discord using the dongle serial number.
8) Access the DTF Station YouTube channel for step-by-step Neosta instructional videos.

INSTRUCTION STEPS
1) Locate the USB drive included with the printer.
2) If the USB drive is missing or empty, check the purchase confirmation email from the dealer.

5) Click on “Important Resources” within the document.
6) Download the Quick Start Guide PDF.
7) Save a copy of the PDF to the desktop.

INSTRUCTION STEPS
1) Gather the required tools: drill, Phillips screwdriver, pliers, scissors, flathead screwdriver, hammer, Allen wrench, and safety gloves.
2) Prepare a flathead screwdriver and pliers.
3) Use the flathead screwdriver to lift the metal notches around the crate lid.
4) Use pliers to straighten each notch upward.
5) Repeat this process for all notches around the crate lid.
6) Use a hammer or pliers to pry the crate lid off.
7) Carefully lift and remove the lid.
8) Repeat this process for the front, back, and sides of the crate until fully opened.

00:02:03 Removing Crate Brackets and Unpacking

INSTRUCTION STEPS
1) Locate the crate brackets inside the crate.
2) Use a power drill to remove all screws securing the crate brackets.
3) Remove the brackets from the crate.
4) Review all unpacked items and confirm all parts and supplies are present.
5) Locate and discard the small box containing the dehumidifier, as it is for shipping purposes only.
6) If any items are missing, immediately contact a DTF Station representative.

00:04:12 Stand Assembly Preparation

INSTRUCTION STEPS
1) Ensure at least four people are available to lift the printer.
2) Locate the four stand feet marked with L and R.
3) Turn the foot stoppers counterclockwise to lower them to the ground.
4) Loosen the Allen screws to attach each leg to its corresponding foot.
5) Verify the correct L and R orientation.
6) Secure each leg to the foot using Allen screws on both sides.
7) Lay the foot flat and install two additional screws on the bottom.
8) Repeat for the opposite foot.

00:06:34 Crossbar and Stand Assembly

INSTRUCTION STEPS
1) Locate the first crossbar and align it with the leg markings.
2) Insert all screws loosely.
3) Tighten all screws once aligned.
4) Loosen the foot stoppers so the stand rests on wheels.
5) Rotate the stand.
6) Install the second crossbar using the same process.
7) Press the breakers and secure the crossbar.

INSTRUCTION STEPS
1) Attach the wet cap cleaning solution bottle holder to the right-side leg.
2) Attach the waste ink container assembly to the back or side of the leg.
3) Install the tension bar holder brackets on the back crossbar.
4) Insert screws but do not fully tighten.
5) Insert the media tension bar into the brackets.
6) Center the bar and tighten the screws.
7) Verify the bar moves freely up and down.
8) Install the media takeup bar holder brackets below the tension bar brackets.
9) Insert and secure the first media takeup bar.
10) Insert the second media takeup bar without tightening yet.

00:11:10 Takeup Reel Motor Installation

INSTRUCTION STEPS
1) Locate the takeup reel motors.
2) Detach the sensor connector by pressing the clip and pulling out the white socket.
3) Set the sensors aside safely.
4) Loosen the motor lock and slide the motor onto the bar.
5) Center the motor and tighten the screws.
6) Repeat for the second motor if applicable.

00:12:46 Mounting the Printer onto the Stand

INSTRUCTION STEPS
1) Assemble a team of at least four to five people.
2) Align the stand with the printer mounting points.
3) Lift and lower the printer onto the stand pins.
4) Verify the L and R markings match the printer orientation.
5) Remove the transportation brackets from the printer bottom.
6) Insert all mounting screws.
7) Once all screws are aligned, fully tighten them to secure the printer.

INSTRUCTION STEPS
1) Attach the desktop monitor arm if included.
2) Attach the keyboard tray to the monitor arm.
3) Install the desktop tray as shown.
4) Place the cleaning solution bottle into its holder.

INSTRUCTION STEPS
1) Retrieve the previously removed sensor.
2) Remove the two mounting screws.
3) Attach the sensor facing toward the back of the printer.
4) Reconnect the white socket connector securely.
5) Route the wire under the crossbar, not over the tension bar.

00:16:23 Bulk Ink System Installation

INSTRUCTION STEPS
1) Remove or loosen the indicated screws on the back of the printer.
2) Move socket connectors and the white ink circulation tube out of the way.
3) Lift and position the bulk ink system on top of the printer.
4) Thread the two-in-one white socket connector through the designated hole.
5) Seat the bulk ink system onto the loosened screws without tightening.
6) Confirm the system is not resting on any cables.
7) Connect the internal loose tube to the bulk ink system tube.
8) Connect the white ink circulation and stirring motor socket connectors.
9) Connect all labeled ink tubes to their corresponding ink bottle valves.
10) Ensure all tubes are fully seated and airtight.
11) Verify no tubes are kinked.
12) Confirm white ink circulation tubes are connected to the circulation pump.
13) Close the cover and tighten all screws.

00:19:16 Waste Ink and Wet Cap Tube Installation

INSTRUCTION STEPS
1) Open the right-side cover.
2) Remove the Ziploc bag containing the waste ink tube holder.
3) Thread the waste ink tubes through the bottom hole.
4) Insert the tubes into the tube holder.
5) Tighten the holder screws.
6) Cut tubes so they extend slightly into the waste ink bottle.
7) Press the white button on the waste ink bottle to activate the alarm.
8) Flip the bottle upside down once to confirm the alarm beeps.
9) Leave the right-side cover open.

INSTRUCTION STEPS
1) Locate the wet cap solution tubes.
2) Thread the tubes through the front hole.
3) Cut the tubes to length as shown.
4) Insert tubes into the cleaning solution bottle so they reach the bottom.
5) Remove all shipping tape from the front cover.
6) Open the main cover and remove protective film from the carriage rail.
7) Locate the print head carriage L-bracket lock.
8) Remove the screws using an Allen key.
9) Store the L-bracket in the black box provided.

INSTRUCTION STEPS
1) Retrieve the main power cord from the black box.
2) Connect the power cord to the wall outlet and printer main switch.
3) Connect the takeup reel motor power cord.
4) Turn on the printer.
5) Use a surge protector with battery backup.
6) Release the emergency stop button by turning it clockwise.
7) Verify the printer screen powers on and shows status idle.

2) Press up once and select system.

3. Pilot Software Setup

INSTRUCTION STEPS
1) Confirm the setup will be performed on a Windows PC.
2) Verify the computer is not a Mac or tablet PC.
3) Confirm the computer is not a Microsoft Surface Pro.
4) Ensure the operating system is Windows 11 or later.
5) Verify the CPU is at least an i5 or i7 with a minimum speed of 2.6 GHz.
6) Confirm at least 500 GB of free storage is available.
7) Use an SSD instead of an HDD if purchasing a new computer.
8) Ensure the system has at least 8 GB of RAM, with higher recommended.

00:00:32 Step One – Downloading DTF Station Pilot

INSTRUCTION STEPS
1) Locate the quick start guide PDF from the USB thumb drive or dealer.
2) Doubleclick the quick start guide PDF to open it.
3) Click Important Resources.
4) Download DTF Station Pilot.
5) Locate the serial number sticker on the printer.
6) Verify the printer manufacturing date.
7) If manufactured before December 2024, confirm whether a firmware and motherboard upgrade is required.
8) Contact DTF Station technicians if compatibility is unclear.
9) Open the DTF Station Pilot program upgrade folder.
10) Download the motherboard upgrade package and firmware configuration files if required.
11) Disable Windows firewall or antivirus temporarily or whitelist the program.
12) Confirm the installer has downloaded successfully.
13) Verify the computer Ethernet cable connection.
14) If using a laptop without an Ethernet port, prepare an Ethernet adapter.

INSTRUCTION STEPS
1) Doubleclick the downloaded .exe installation file.
2) Accept the license terms.
3) Allow Microsoft Visual C++ and required packages to install.
4) Monitor the taskbar for any hidden installation prompts.
5) Wait for the installation to complete.
6) Rename the DTF Station Pilot icon to R1.
7) Doubleclick the icon to open DTF Station Pilot.
8) Observe the connection symbol on the left side.
9) Observe the light bulb error indicator on the right side.
10) Click the light bulb icon to open the log tab if errors are shown.

INSTRUCTION STEPS
1) Connect the Ethernet cable between the printer and computer.
2) Turn the printer power on.
3) Click the Windows Start button.
4) Type Ethernet and open Ethernet settings.
5) Identify the Ethernet connection labeled as unidentified network.
6) Click Change adapter options.
7) Remove the Ethernet cable and observe which connection disconnects.
8) Reconnect the Ethernet cable to confirm the correct adapter.
9) Return to DTF Station Pilot.
10) Click the Advanced tab.
11) Click Admin Menu.
12) Select Network.
13) Choose the correct Ethernet adapter from the dropdown.
14) Enter a local IP address matching the server IP except for the last two digits.
15) Enter 192.168.127.16 as an example.
16) Avoid using 10 as the last two digits.
17) Click Set, then click OK.
18) Wait 5 to 10 seconds for parameters to load.
19) Confirm the connection symbol and light bulb turn green.

INSTRUCTION STEPS
1) If a failed to load parameters message appears, update the motherboard and firmware.
2) If the connection symbol does not turn green, replace the Ethernet cable.
3) Try a different Ethernet adapter if needed.
4) Attempt a different IP address such as 17 or 18.
5) Ensure all IP digits match except the last two.
6) Contact DTF Station support if issues persist.

00:05:43 Step Three – Language Selection and Port Setup

INSTRUCTION STEPS
1) Navigate to the last main tab on the right side.
2) Click the last subtab.
3) Select the first icon to connect the printer.
4) Select the correct Ethernet port from the dropdown menu.
5) Enter the full IP address, excluding 10 as the last two digits.
6) Click the save button on the left side.
7) Click OK.
8) Close the pop-up window.
9) Wait for a solid green connection indicator.
10) Click the second button from the top.
11) Select English from the dropdown menu.
12) Click the right-side button.
13) Click OK.
14) Close DTF Station Pilot.
15) Reopen the program to apply the language change.

INSTRUCTION STEPS
1) Open DTF Station Pilot.
2) Review all parameter settings shown in the setup video.
3) Match each setting exactly as demonstrated.
4) Ensure the Spot Color option is unchecked.
5) Adjust the print start position based on film loading.
6) Measure the distance from the left side to the start of the film.
7) Set the print start position between 50 and 70 if the film is centered.
8) Click Save to store the settings.
9) Press the Home button to verify the carriage returns to the home position.

4. NeoStampa Setup

INSTRUCTION STEPS
1) Verify that the quick start guide PDF is available.
2) If the quick start guide PDF is missing, request it from the dealer.
3) Doubleclick the quick start guide PDF to open it in a web browser.
4) Scroll down the document.
5) Click Importing Resources.
6) Open the Neostampa folder.
7) Locate the Neostampa RIP for the R2 Pro.
8) Click Download.
9) Click Download again to confirm.
10) Allow the Neostampa installer to download.
11) Note that the version number may vary depending on release timing.
12) Doubleclick the downloaded Neostampa installer file.
13) Select the desired language.
14) Click OK.
15) Accept the license agreement.
16) Click Next.
17) Click Next again.
18) Click Install.
19) Wait for the installation to complete, allowing up to 10 minutes.
20) Click Finish when installation is complete.

00:02:07 Step Two – Dongle Activation

INSTRUCTION STEPS
1) Insert the Neostampa dongle into the computer.
2) Confirm the dongle indicator light turns green.
3) Open Neostampa Delta.
4) Click Yes on any system prompts.
5) Wait for the software to load during first-time dongle initialization.
6) Enter the required account details in the dongle registration window.
7) Click Continue.
8) Check the email inbox for a verification code.
9) Locate the email sent from Neostampampa or inedit.com.
10) Enter the verification code.
11) Click Continue.
12) Enter printer details.
13) Select Prestige R2 Pro.
14) Add any additional printers if applicable, such as Prestige XL2.
15) Click Request Trial.
16) Confirm activation success message.
17) If validation fails, remove all USB devices except the dongle.
18) Restart the computer.
19) Reopen Neostampa.
20) Click Continue Trial.
21) Click OK.

15) Select DTGDTF as the document type.

18) Click the three-dot icon to open Scheme Manager.

20) Navigate to the extracted 720x1800 folder.
21) Open the subfolder.
22) Doubleclick the CPS file.
23) Select the scheme.
24) If prompted with printing mode not supported, proceed to adjust settings.
25) Select Five Color mode.
26) Select the correct quality setting.
27) Ignore pass settings.
28) Open Mode Colors.
29) Change the orange color to white.
30) Click OK.

32) Click Yes.
33) Repeat the process for the 720x2400 scheme.
