Prisma Dual — Unboxing & Setup

[00:00:00] Overview
- Walk-through of the complete unboxing and setup process for the Prisma Dual.

[00:00:11] Tools to prepare
- Adjustable wrench
- Gloves
- Utility knife
- Power drill (a screwdriver also works)

[00:00:11] Remove the top panel of the crate
1) The Prisma Dual arrives in a wooden crate secured with metal L brackets.
2) Remove the top panel by unscrewing the L brackets along the top edge.
3) Repeat for all L brackets securing the top panel.
4) Lift the top panel off.

[00:00:38] Remove the crate side panels
1) Remove the screws from the L brackets securing the front panel.
2) Remove the front panel.
3) Repeat the same process for each remaining side panel until the machine is fully exposed.

[00:00:38] Release the machine from the crate base
1) Locate the metal brackets securing the machine to the base of the crate.
2) Remove the three screws from each bracket to release the machine from the crate base.

[00:01:08] Raise leveling feet so the unit can roll
1) At the base of the Prisma Dual, locate the adjustable leveling feet.
2) Using an adjustable wrench, rotate each leveling foot clockwise to raise it off the ground.
3) Confirm the machine can roll freely.

[00:01:08] Remove protective cover
- Remove the protective cover from the Prisma Dual.

[00:01:26] Build a ramp and roll the machine off the crate
1) Locate the 2x4 beam under the Prisma Dual and place it vertically against the pallet.
2) Take one of the removed crate panels and position it against the 2x4 to create a ramp.
3) Bend the L brackets downward and secure the ramp using screws to ensure it is stable.
4) With multiple people assisting, carefully roll the machine down the ramp.

[00:01:55] Open side cabinets and locate accessories
1) Open the side cabinets.
2) Inside are five accessory boxes, each labeled with a number.

[00:01:55] Install the platen (Accessory Box #3)
1) Open accessory box number three.
2) Remove the platen.
3) Place the platen into position until it seats fully.

[00:02:12] Lock and verify platen placement
1) Push the locking lever to the side to secure the platen.
2) Shake the platen lightly to confirm it is secured properly.
3) Compare it to the other platen to confirm both are positioned the same.

[00:02:12] Connect the air compressor (Accessory Box #1)
1) Open accessory box number one to access the air compressor.
2) Take the air tube and connect it to the compressor output.
3) Pull back the locking ring, insert the tube until it clicks, then release the ring to lock.
4) Connect the other end of the air tube to the machine’s air port.
5) Push the tube in fully to ensure a secure connection.

[00:02:34] Connect the foot pedal (Accessory Box #2)
1) Open accessory box number two to access the foot pedal assembly and cables.
2) Slide the strain relief collar against the pedal assembly.
3) Rotate the strain relief collar clockwise to secure the cable.
4) Connect the other end of the pedal cable to the corresponding port on the machine.
5) Tighten the locking ring clockwise.

[00:03:00] Power + waste bin + laser guide plastic
1) Plug the main power cable into the Prisma Dual.
2) Locate the waste bin and position it underneath the machine as shown.
3) Remove the protective plastic from the laser guides.

[00:03:31] Optional accessories (Laser pads + Teflon cover)
1) Open accessory box number four to access the laser guide pads.
2) Open accessory box number five to access the Teflon cover (optional cover for platens).

[00:03:31] Plug in and power on the air compressor
1) Plug the Prisma Dual and the air compressor into a power outlet.
2) On the compressor, rotate the red knob toward the airline to open airflow.
3) Pull the red knob upward to power the compressor on.
4) Verify the pressure gauge begins to rise.

[00:04:00] Power on the Prisma Dual and enable air to the system
1) Turn the Prisma Dual power switch to the ON position.
2) Wait for the control menu to appear.
3) On the side, locate the air gauge and the blue air release control.
4) Push the blue control to the right to allow air into the system.

[00:04:00] Test platen movement (foot pedal)
1) Press the foot pedal.
2) Confirm the platen shifts smoothly to the opposite side.

[00:04:22] Test press function (two-button press)
1) Press the press buttons on both sides simultaneously.
2) Confirm the press function operates correctly.

[00:04:22] Finish
- If all tests are successful, the Prisma Dual is fully unboxed and set up.
